As a child I rarely played with toys but instead I spent hours a day trying on my Mom's costume jewelry finds. I really enjoyed it when she would take me along to buy some of these jewels. The older items came from bazaars and the new styles came from department stores in Manhattan and Brooklyn. What a treat this was for me!
